Matt Levinson is a communication strategist with more than a decade’s experience developing and delivering effective traditional and digital campaigns at the local, state and national level. He provides counsel on communication strategy, issues and crisis management, messaging and narrative, stakeholder engagement, online channels and media relations.
As former head of communication for the Lord Mayor of Sydney and GetUp, he has experience coordinating large, city-scale communication and community engagement projects, driving rapid response communication, issues management and positioning and advising senior leaders.
Matt began his career as a scientist, before stints leading science communication programs at CSIRO, and in radio, print, TV and online journalism with the ABC and others. He was part of a Eureka Prize winning team (2009), selected as one of Creative Sydney’s top 100 new talents (2010), and created a crowdfunded journalism project that led to major investigative pieces including a Walkley Award winner (2015).
